True to its name, the wine is indeed a pleasure: intense and perfumed. Mon Plaisir displays an exquisite bouquet of lemon cream, honey and candied grapefruit, with subtle notes of spring flowers. The palate is rich, full-bodied and creamy with beautiful hints of fresh lemon, pear, dry apricot and brioche. A light flinty mineral character with hints of pain grillé and hazelnut complete the mouthfeel of this wine and its long finish.
Wine Spectator
There's wonderful richness, body and depth to this white, which offers a mix of intense pear and apple flavors, with spicy oak and subtle earth nuances. Smooth and focused, with a long, full finish. Drink now through 2013.

Wine Advocate
The 2007 Mon Plaisir is exquisite. Exotic tropical fruits soar from the perfumed nose of this wine. It has terrific acid, hints of tropical fruit, orange marmalade, and lemon blossom in a full-bodied, rich, pure, but delicate style. I would drink the 2006 over the next 3 years, while the 2007 is probably capable of lasting 7-8 years.

Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
